The Stewards noted that #14 KING OF THE BAND refused under Starter’s orders.
Apprentice J. Boodramsingh rider of #10 MONEY MATTERS, placed fifth, objected to jockey R. Ali rider of third placed #12 LOCATOR, for taking his ground around the 800 metre mark. After hearing the evidence of the riders and viewing the video replay of the incident, the Stewards found no reason to take any action and overruled the objection.
The Stewards interviewed Mr. Michael Carew Jr. trainer of the winner LIL MARIE regarding the improved performance of his charge. He stated that he expected a better run from her in her previous outing but the jockey stated he met with interference. In addition he stated that the blinker was removed and she showed improvement in her gallops since the last start and her eating was also improved. His explanation was noted.

(1) #3 MUSICAL SCORE bled externally indicative of E.I.P.H. and is not to race until 25.11.2017; and

The placings were reversed and apprentice Boodramsingh was suspended for the next day of racing.

The objection was overruled and the results remained unchanged.
The Stewards noted that #3 CRAMERS RULE was very slowly away and there appeared to be no effort to get him into the race. The rider of the horse apprentice J. Boodramsingh was interviewed and he stated that despite his efforts the horse did not respond. His explanation was noted.
